I was brooding quite a while over this theme until I settled on the idea of milk which was one of the banes of my childhood...Journal reads: "For my grandma, the Essence of Bovinity was certainly milk – much to my chagrin when I was a child. I’ve never really liked the taste of milk but it was hot milk with pepper for colds, hot milk with honey for sore throats, lukewarm milk in the evening to help you sleep and cold milk in the morning to wake you up! Even the strawberries came cut up in a bowl of milk….
